Upcoming Meeting... The next meeting of the friends of Midwest National Air Center will be Thursday evening, October 16th, at the airport terminal building. There will be no September Friends meeting due to the FAA Safety Seminar scheduled for Thursday evening, September 18th. Don't miss the October meeting. Food and drink will be served at 6:30 PM and the meeting will start at 7:00 PM.

If You Missed the August 21st Meeting... Scott Wheeler, a Flight Test Pilot for Garmin, conducted a session on GPS WAAS, complete with an interesting PowerPoint presentation. He discussed the latest GPS products and explained in detail how WAAS works. This was one of the most informative meetings of the year. Click on the "Minutes" page for additional details.
